This week, we are keeping it light and sweet, no pun intended. If you know me, you know I have a sweet tooth. This treat will leave you satisfied in so many ways, without feeling bloated or sluggish, and never guilty.
Slice bananas to desired thickness, maybe 1/2″ ish
Melt your favorite dark chocolate (I love Gihrardelli)
*I like to melt 2 parts chocolate with 1 part peanut butter 🙂
Dip bananas in chocolate, place on wax paper.
Top with your favorite chopped nuts (optional).
I let them freeze an hour or two, then I transfer to a ziplock baggie or airtight container for storage that lasts days
Unfortunately, I don’t measure this recipe, but I usually dump a 1/4 bag of chocolate chips with a spoonful of peanut butter, per 2 large bananas.
I generally will grab a couple pieces at time. I eat them frozen but you could also let them thaw a couple minutes before eating.
Cold, creamy, sweet and crunchy. One of my go-to desserts!
